There cannot be any shortcuts to SEO. If you want solid and steady results then you have to have an extremely effective SEO strategy which takes into account several factors that can be important for top rankings.

1. Keyword-rich Content: One of the first and foremost requirements is to have keyword rich content on your website. You should know what keyword phrases people are using when they are searching online. You should use those keyword phrases in your content so that it has more appeal to your site visitors.

For example – weight loss is a broad phrase while weight loss for women is a little bit more targeted. The advantage of going after long tail keywords is that they are generally a lot easier to achieve top rankings for as they have less competition than broad phrases.

Another advantage is that you will know what the user specifically wants and can provide that answer in your article. This can help in increasing your article’s conversion rates.

5. High Quality Links: Another important factor in SEO is link building. Most people try to get as many backlinks to their site as possible. However as a wise marketer, your focus should be more on getting quality links from high pagerank sites and WebPages. These links will have more value in the eyes of Google.

You can avoid wasting your time by going after tons of useless links which will hardly add any value to your website. Another advantage of going after high quality links is that you will be forced to come up with excellent quality content in order to gain such links. So this will give you a two-fold advantage – better content and better links!

6. Better Navigation: Your visitors should find it easy to browse your website and find what they are looking for. Both search engines and human visitors love a website which provides for easy navigation.

It is best to divide your website into categories and each webpage should be in the category that is best suited to it. This way you can easily get all your WebPages indexed by search engines and your human visitors will be able to easily browse your website without getting lost.
