Most often we attempt to get things done when not in an optimal state of being. I often attempt to do so much at the end of the day when I’m tired and barely lucid how much time it takes to get things done as I barely tap away at the keyboard I’m sure it takes me and hour for what would normally take me a few minutes.

To get the most out of limited time and resources it is best to organize our lives. The following tip and techniques are starting to have a great effect in my life and hopefully it may help you in yours.

First of all, DO HIGH-QUALITY WORK WHEN BEING FULL OF ENERGY. Go to bed early and wake up after you have gotten all the sleep you need. There’s no specific number. All people need different amounts of sleep (for me, it’s 9 hours per 24-hour period). Working tired is VERY expensive and time-consuming.

I know that many people will say “but I don’t have 9 hours to sleep!” You may need to manage your time more wisely. You are already on the right track by looking to work from home with your PC.

Here are some tips to save time:

If your job involves working with a computer, then maybe you can “steal some dead time” and do the things you need to move your business forward. Most people are “occupied” at work for about 8 hours – but they only do “real work” for 4-5.

Before you go to bed at night, note down on a piece of paper what you need to do the next day. As you do the tasks, delete them from your list. This will allow you to live your day in a more structured manner than you just “reacting” to whatever “happens”.

Make sure you stay away from other well-known time vampires like TV, telephone and Instant Messenger as much as possible. Don’t keep doing these things just because you have gotten used to them. Most people live their lives on autopilot and it’s really hard to break a bad habit once you have it. Wake up. Become conscious. Think of what you do.

Don’t check your emails 20 times a day. I know that we tend to check our emails regularly. We want to see if others care enough about us to email us. But, if time is a concern, only check your emails once a day.

Ask yourself: If I had only two hours a day to build my business, what would I be doing? I’m guessing that “reading forum threads” wouldn’t be on the list.

Get away from the freaking computer. Want a way to make more money with less work? Just plan offline. Then o to your PC and get them done.

Also, working while being hungry is VERY expensive and time-consuming. You have your mind in your stomach and not your PC. Eat properly and on schedule. Eat several times a day like a baby.

Never start your workday on an empty stomach. Although you believe that you “will eat later”, “later” won’t come simply because this marketing stuff is too addictive and interesting. Who has time for food, right?

If you already work from home full-time, make sure you take regular breaks. School classes last about 45 minutes. There’s a reason for that. The human brain starts to lose its focus after that. You probably know yourself better than anybody else. But don’t think that you are a superman (or supergirl) who can go on and on and on for 5 hours in a row.

Take a break. Go for a walk. Ride your bike. Drive your car. Watch something on TV (but don’t overdo it). Listen to some music. Eat a healthy snack. Do some exercise. Spend time with your children or spouse.

While you are working full throttle, it’s easy to estimate that you are working at your max capacity – every time you feel tired, you say “OK, I did the absolute best my body can handle”.

You are dead wrong.

There’s a reason world-class athletes take days off. Aspiring world-class webmasters should do the same as well.

Don’t just take breaks during the day. Take entire days off during the week. At least one. You won’t believe how refreshed you will feel – and how many good ideas you will be able to come up with once you do get back to work.

If you don’t take days off, your brain is almost certainly under functioning. Don’t let that happen to you.

If your visitors feel and believe that you are an expert in your niche, they are more inclined to making that purchase. On the other hand, if you are not exuding any confidence and self-assurance in endorsing your products, they will probably feel that same way and will go in search of another product or service which is more believable.

How do you establish this aura of expertise? By offering unique and new solutions they would not get anywhere else. Show proof that what you are promoting works as promised. Display prominent testimonials and endorsements from respected and known personalities, in related fields of course.

Avoid hype at all costs. It is better to sound low key and confident, than to scream and seek attention. Besides, you would not want to sound unprofessional and have that thinking stick to your potential customers and clients, now would you? Best to appear cool and self-assured at the same time.

And remember; prospects are not stupid. They are actually turning to experts and may already know the things that you know. If you back up your claims with hard facts and data, they would gladly put down hundreds, or even thousands worth of money to your promotions. But if you don’t, they are smart enough to try and look at your competitors and what they are offering.

While recommending a product, it is also important that you give out promotional freebies. People are already familiar with the concept of offering freebies to promoting your won products. But very few people do this to promote affiliate products. Try to offer freebies that can promote or even have some information about your products or services.

Before you add recommendations to you product, it is given that you should try and test the product and support. Do not run the risk of promoting junk products and services. Just think how long it took you to build credibility and trust among your visitors. All that will take to destroy it is one big mistake on your part.

If possible, have recommendations of products that you have 100% confidence in. Test the product support before you begin to ensure that the people you are referring it to would not be left high and dry when a problem suddenly arouse.

Have a look at your affiliate market and look at the strategies you are using. You may not be focusing on the recommendations that your products need to have. You plan of action is sometimes not the only thing that is making your program works.

The Bottom line is by providing good advice even when not making money from it people tend to trust you and trust always leads to increased bottom line results and success online or off.

Are you the renter of a self-storage unit? If so, you may have heard of storage unit auctions. At first glance, they may cause you some concern. Can you fall victim to these auctions? Can your possessions really be sold at one? Yes, they can, but there are steps that you can take to prevent this from happening.

Pay Your Bill

The reason for public storage auctions is unpaid bills. Your storage unit bill should be treated like any other important bill. Treat it just like your mortgage or car payment. If you miss enough payments, your home can be foreclosed on or your car can be repossessed. The same thing can happen with self-storage units. In some ways, your belongings are held as collateral.

Never let your bill fall behind more than two months at a time. Your best bet is to keep it updated and paid on time. If you foresee financial difficulties ahead, remove your belongings while your account is still in good standing. Store them at your home or at the home of a close friend or family member.

Talk to the Owner

This approach is one that you should not rely heavily on, but it will not hurt to try. If you are experiencing temporary financial difficulties, explain that. Let the company know you can make full payment the following month or in a few weeks. Offer to make small weekly payments, especially if it can prolong an auction. Do not, however, make this agreement if it is one that you cannot keep.

Remove Your Belongings

If so, remove everything from your storage unit immediately, especially all family photographs and personal documents. If these items sell, they will be thrown away almost right away. When removing your belongings, you will still have an unpaid bill to pay. With that said, if your stuff is not inside the storage unit, it cannot be auctioned off.

If you opt for this approach, you will want to take action right away. After three months or more, the self-storage company may change the locks. This means that you may not gain access to the unit. Many will refuse to give you back your belongings until you agree to pay your overdue bill or at least a portion of it.

Check Your Contract

After a certain period of time, an unpaid storage unit bill can translate into abandonment of property. This means that regardless of whether or not an auction is listed as a consequence for an unpaid bill in your contract, one can still take place. It is still important to consult with your contract. If you do not see anything about a storage auction, you can cause a stir. This may buy you more time

Check Your Mail and Answer Your Phone

Before a public storage auction is held, the owners will likely try to contact you and multiple times. Do not assume that you are simply just getting another late notice. There might be a warning that your belongings are slated to be sold.

Those running self-storage units do not want to sell or auction off your personal belongings, which is why they will make multiple attempts at contact. You need to remember that they are running a business. Your unpaid bills are causing them to lose money.

As a recap, the best way to avoid having your belongings auctioned at a public storage auction is to pay your bill and on time. Once you have gotten your bill in good standing, you may want to attend a public auction.
